The Business of Being Brilliant podcast

S10 E6: 'How to deliver brilliantly for growth'
with Prof Adam Boddison OBE

Monday 31 March 2025

About this episode

At work, many of us have experienced the challenges of tight deadlines, multiple priorities and having a very full, often unrealistic, workload. We’re trying to keep several spinning plates in the air without dropping any. Meanwhile our leaders don’t have it any easier, with CEOs expected to both ‘perform and transform’. So today we’re going to be finding out what we often get wrong when it comes to delivery, how we can equip people to deliver better, and what kind of leadership is most effective when the pressure is on.

Bringing his expert viewpoint into this conversation is my guest Professor Adam Boddison OBE, who is the CEO at the Association for Project Management. Prior to his current role, he held leadership roles in other membership associations, including six years as CEO of the National Association for Special Educational Needs. He also has a number of non-executive roles supporting organisations and projects that benefit society and was awarded his OBE in 2022 for services to children with special educational needs.
